Statement as of 4:20 PM CST on January 09, 2009 ... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST /12 PM CST/ Saturday... A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST /12 PM CST/ Saturday. Snow will redevelop tonight and continue over the region through the Saturday morning before tapering off Saturday afternoon. Total snow accumulation of 6 to 10 inches are anticipated from this storm... with the greatest amounts along and north of the toll Road. A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight... food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
