Hey Everyone, Im road trippin it with my buddies to Colorado tomorrow. I'll be gone for 10 days or so. I am bringing my laptop, and will blog as much as possible, about Colorado Wx. as well as Great Lakes Wx. I plan on taking over 1,000 photos. I will post the best here. I'll be driving the I-70 route, and will hit up Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas along the way, and will try and get some nice shots.

Snow will overspread most of the region by this afternoon, affecting the entire area NE of a Sheyboygan - Kalamazoo line by Evening. There will be a narrow band of fairly heavy snow, which could produce inch per hour snowfall rates. This band will only be 50-100 miles wide, and will slowly weaken as in moves to the southeast. At this time, the placement for this band looks to be along a line extending from Appleton - Muskegan - Flint. In this swath, 3 - 5 inches are anticipated, with a 6 inch amount not out of the question. Within 100 miles north or south of this line, 2 - 4 inches will fall. And 50 miles north and south of that line a dusting to 2 inches will fall.

Note to Readers :As Winter approaches my heart beats faster, longing for heavy snow, brutal cold, and harsh winter conditions! Winterstormsblog (if you were not already here last year) focuses on the Great Lakes, especially the Southwestern Lakes, including Detroit, Chicago, Grand Rapids, Toledo, and other portions of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin. With the Arrival of snow comes the return of Winterstormsblog. So here I am, back on Wunderground blogging, awaiting and forecasting the first snowfall in my portion of the country. I'd like to welcome all of last year's faithfuls back to the blog, and invite anyone else who could find interest and would like to blog, observe, and forecast with me this winter. Last Winter was a great success, and by the end of the season there was a group of people from all around the Southwest Great Lakes blogging about snowfall amounts, sending in pictures, and of course, their forecasts for each storm. Hopefully this winter will bring more of the same, and with each storm, a new and exciting ride. Thanks for visiting, and feel free to leave a comment with your location.
